Automatic Make Up Air Kit for 8" Duct
8" Automatic Make Up Air Damper Set consisting of two parts. A sensor collar mounted in the duct by the hood which senses air flow and a solenoid actuated damper which admits fresh, outside air mounted remotely in the house's HVAC ducting. When the hood is turned on, the sensor collar sends a signal via low volt wiring to the automatic damper telling it to open. Make Up air is drawn into the home by the negative pressure created by the hood's operation. When the hood is shut off, the solenoid on the automatic damper deactivates and the damper is closed by a return spring.
