Handle Melts

I purchased this item in 2018. Yes, I have read and followed the directions on controlling the flames from flowing over the sides of the kettle. However, this approach does not work. The handle is of poor design. Over time, controlled flames or not, the metal portion of the handle heats to a point that is melts the plastic portions of the kettle. Both handle and spout cover. Though the kettle looks excellent and I have enjoyed it, over and electric, it does have significant design flaw. I would not recommend this product at this significant price point.

Bought this, it's less than a year old and inside it is peeling. Little black bits of the kettle are in my water. I can't drink that. Gross. I use it on a ceramic stove, i never let it stay on the element when it is not full. Yet the inside is falling apart

Nice kettle but makes a bit of a mess

I really want to love this kettle. Looks great in the kitchen and works well on my induction stove. Unfortunately, boiling water runs down the spout and all over the place when I pour into my cup.

Great addition to my kitchen

We got the KitchenAid Quart Kettle as a gift. From the very beginning, we loved it. We have had other kettles before, but the KitchenAid Quart Kettle is a cut above other kettles. Most of the kettles that we had breaks within 3 months. We have been using the kettle everyday, and its still going strong. I love the enamel finish, as eventhough we use the kettle everyday, it still looks good and very little marking on the kettle due to the finish. The kettle is very practical, but it also looks very good in the kitchen.
