I'm so happy I bought this slow cooker. I originally wanted a smaller size but decided after reading all the excellent reviews to take a chance. It cooks so well and the size is fantastic wether I'm cooking for the two of us or a large gathering. The clean up is easy.

Won't power on

I did love this appliance while it worked. Bought for Christmas 2017 for occasional holiday use. It was only used 12-15 times over the years. It died in November of 2019. It turned off when in Keep Warm mode and it never turned on again. You can't even take it apart to attempt to fix it. Kitchen Aid customer service was only able to suggest buying a new one at 20% off (this is the normal everyday price on Amazon). I have been a loyal KA customer for many years with many small and large appliance purchases. I don't mind paying more for the KA brand, but I do expect the products to last. Very disappointed.

My old brand broke ... so I researched Americas Test Kitchen, best rated crock pot. This is the one recommended ... I ordered it a Thursday afternoon, had it Friday morning! Buttons stop working

This is my second kitchenaid slow cooker and within 1 year both slow cookers developed the same problem--the temperature buttons got "stuck" and now don't work. My first slow cooker was under warranty, so kitchenaid send me a new one. Of course as soon as my warranty for the second one ran out, it developed the same problem. I cannot cook on the "high" setting anymore. I'm really frustrated because I spent a lot of money on this item and now it stopped working just a few weeks ahead of thanksgiving. Since the warranty has expired I don't know if it's even worth contacting Kitchenaid

I purchased this slow-cooker and loved it until the timer stopped working. Called Kitchen Aid and they shipped a replacement immediately. Great customer service! Now, my replacement unit has also died with less than a year of use. Very frustrating and not certain I will get a replacement if it will only last a year.

Bad units twice doesn't last long

Yes we bought one of the kitchen aid 6 quart slow cookers and it lasted 4 months. I called kitchen aid they were great about sending a replacement but it didn't last for about 10 months and the display would go in and out. Just doesn't seem like a quality product and it was lower heat compared to other ones we had anyway only give two stars because the service was good but product was bad. And now if I want it replaced it's 89.00 for a extended warranty no thanks will buy a different brand

We bought this 6 quart slow cooker a month ago and have used it several times. It is very easy to use and has great features. The timer is great and the unit switches to warming after your prescribed time ends. We made pulled pork, short ribs, and roasts - all excellent dishes.

I bought this cooker based on good reviews. When I received it, I found the lid did not fit well and would not create a seal. It rocked back and forth leaving a sizeable gap. After more research, I found this was a common problem, so decided to return the appliance without using it and try a different brand.

Don't waste you money

I bought this just over a year ago after checking that cooks illustrated recommended it. I've probably only used in 6-8 times. I took it out to use it last night and it won't turn on. Worked OK a couple weeks ago and it's just been sitting in the cupboard since then. After reading the reviews looks like this issue has happened to others as well. I'm going to notify cooks illustrated of the apparently limited life of this appliance. I paid over $100 for this. My $15 crock pot from 40 years ago still works.

I really wanted to like

For kitchen aid products you think they are made to last long. But for the slow cooker that is no true. Not long after I had mine half the numbers are not working so I have to count myself so I know how long I am putting for. Now there is a crack in my insert so when I cook things it leaks all in the Crock-Pot and all over my counter. I'm really sad that this product doesn't hold up.

I really wanted to love this slow cooker. I did a lot of research before deciding on this particular one. However, after many failed attempts to cook things in it I have come to realize that it just doesn't cook very well. I have to use the medium setting if I am out all day and still after cooking for 8 hours on medium I came home to hard potatoes. I had cut them small (only about 3/4 inch) and they were still hard as a rock. Every time I use it I have undercooked food and it takes WAY LONGER to cook then what the recipes call for. I am not sure what you would even cook on Low? I have only had it a year but I don't feel I can trust this slow cooker.

Bought this a few years back and it now no longer is functional. The front panel just flashed for awhile, you could set a time, however it is stuck on high. Most recently none of the lights work, timer is only thing that lights up and works. I think I will go back to buying cheap Crock Pot slow cookers. At least they lasted longer and are cheap enough to replace.

Best Slow Cooker

This works so much better than my old "standard" slow cooker. The insert is much heavier, allowing even cooking. The control panel on the front is amazingly easy to use. And, I know it's a little thing, but I really like that the cord is stored on the bottom of the unit, rather than having it flop around when you put it away after using it. The only thing I wish it did differently would be to maintain its settings during a power flicker. Instead it just turns the power off. Not a problem if you are home, but potentially a problem if you are away.

Beautiful Upgrade from My Old Slow Cooker.

I have been using a 4qt. slow cooker that I received as a wedding gift over 12 years ago but with my growing family I was finding it was a little too small for my expanding recipes. I am very impressed with the beauty and features of my new Kitchen Aid slow cooker. The controls are easy to understand and use. I am very pleased with this new cooker.

Love the Oval Design

LOVE THIS SLOW COOKER!

I bought this recently and was so excited to open the box. I needed one that I could put a timer on and then let the cooker go off or to warm. This feature works wonderfully for me. And the KitchenAid was wonderful to design the pot the way they did. I love it!

True slow cooker

I love this slow cooker. I've had multiple "slow" cookers over the years that all cook way too hot and will even boil on low. Not this one. I can trust that my roasts come out falling apart. Would highly recommend.

CRACKED LINER!

I recieved this this slow cooker for Christmas and my pot has a crack though it! I remember when Kitchenaid was one of the top quality brands, very unhappy with this. I can not find a replacement liner for it.

Beware ... your ceramic pot will crack

Sadly the pots are susceptible to cracking. I had read the reviews and assumed people were not being careful. Not the case. I just went to try to order the insert, and they are not available. So the entire thing is on its way to the waste site. So sad. It did produce very good results, so it's doubly disappointing.

Ceramic pot broke and replacement is not available

We recently relocated and the ceramic liner cracked in shipping. I immensely disappointed that such an obviously breakable component not kept in stock. I am mad the it seems I have to replace the entire unit because the ceramic liner is not available.

This is the absolute best slow cooker I have had in many, many years! It really cooks slowly when you want a low setting, and very evenly. I have two other brands and they both boil - even on low! My problem is, I have owned this for a year, and have used it about 15-20 times. When I got it out for St. Pats, it did not work, NO electricity. My husband checked the plug,outlet etc.,we cannot fine anything. The unit will not light up or heat. Is it possible to have them repaired? P.S. I would only recommend this to if there is an optional insurance policy.

This slow cooker is just a food warmer not cooker.

Had to return our first brand new unit back to KitchenAid. It had a burnt electrical smell and would not even cook small cubed cut potatoes even after 10 hours on high. The second unit we received is not much better, but at least it doesn't have the burnt electrical smell. I guess we are stuck with a high dollar food warmer. Made in China ...of course. Don't waste your money, It is a KitchenAid in name only.

This is a great slow cooker, however, there seem to be a lot of issues with the quality of the ceramic pot according to the other reviews, but I took my chances because of the brand and purchased anyway...and then my ceramic pot cracked! I have been checking the KitchenAid website to purchase a replacement crock and apparently the same issue when I purchased my slow cooker (03/17) is still an issue 2 YEARS later (03/19)! Seriously DO NOT be like me and buy it anyway! You will be sorry because no I am sitting with a $90 useless piece of junk.

Broken after less than a year

I wrote a review on this site complaining that my lid on my crockpot did not fit properly and wasn't get a good seal, and therefore my food was not cooking properly. With in one day, they contacted me via email to learn more about my problem. They immediately sent me a new crockpot. I could not be more pleased with their customer service. Most companies don't treat the customer like this anymore. Thank you Kitchen Aid!
