Super Quiet

I bought this KitchenAid hand mixer several months ago to replace a previous mixer (not a KitchenAid)I that seized up because I tried to mix a dough that was extremely stiff. It was the best mistake I made. As a result, I bought a much better hand mixer that is over 50% quieter, 25% lighter, and super easy to use. Plus the price was extremely affordable. I looked at high end units that cost over $80, I feel I made an excellent choice, at a fraction of the cost. I have used this mixer over 15 times thus far. I can mix away without irritating my family with excessive noise. The multiple speeds are handy, but I tend to use only the lowest or highest speeds. I would never use this mixer on super stiff dough though (leave that for the heavy duty stand mixers). This would make a great and affordable gift to others. I give it a 5 star rating.

Miss my old hand mixer

Cord Placement Disappointment

When I purchased this hand mixer I was impressed with the placement of the cord. After using the mixer on a regular basis I've found the placement interferes with how I hold the mixer. The traditional placement is preferable. Other than this concern I've been pleased with the ease of use.
